After graduating in 1996 from the University of Tokyo, Political Science and Government Department, entered the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. During his tenure, drafted the “Limited Partnership Act for Investment” (enacted in 1998), which became the basis for laws that govern private equity funds, including venture capital investments. In 2003, obtained an MBA from Stanford University. Co-founded UTEC in 2004 and established UTEC 1 Limited Partnership (\8.3 billion) in the same year and began venture investments that utilize research results of the University of Tokyo. In 2013, became the Japan representative of the G8 Innovation Conference.
