Fujiyo Ishiguro is the President & CEO of Netyear Group Corporation, a well-known Marketing company focused on Internet Services. Netyear had more than 150 active clients in 2009. 90% of their clients are TSE-listed companies, Fortune 500 equivalent, including KDDI, Tokyo Marine Nichido, Mitsui Real Estate, and NEC. Takeshi Natsuno,Professor of Keio University was formerly Senior Vice President of NTT DoCoMo. He developed the business strategy of all of NTT DoCoMo's multimedia-related services,including i-mode strategic alliances with global application/content providers and key Internet players.
Mr. Natsuno,one of the key developers of i-mode business models,managed the Japan launch of i-mode in 1999. i-mode is the world's most popular mobile e-mail/Internet service. Sea-Jin Chang is a Provost’s Chair Professor of Business Administration, National University of Singapore. Prior to his move to Singapore, he was a Kumho Asiana Group Endowed Chair Professor of Business Administration at Korea University. He received his BA and MA in economics from Seoul National University, and Ph.D. in strategic management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Dean’s Fellow. He used to be a professor at the Stern School of Business of the New York University. He also had visiting appointments at Stanford Business School, INSEAD, London Business School, Hitotsubashi University and Wharton School. He used to work for large telecommunication companies in Korea and Japan. Professor Chang is primarily interested in the management of diversified multinational firms. His current research focuses on understanding the process of creating operating synergies among diversified lines of business and building a strong local organization after foreign entry. His other research interests include organizational learning, corporate growth through joint ventures and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, and comparative management studies of Japan, Korea, and China. His research has been published in journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Review of Economics and Statistics, and Journal of Industrial Economics. He is an Editor of Journal of International Business Studies, a premier academic journal in international business and sits on the editorial boards of several other leading journals such as Strategic Management Journal. His recent book, Sony vs. Samsung: The Inside Story of the Electronics’ Giants Battle for Global Supremacy (Wiley, 2008) compares and contrasts these two firms’ global strategy. His other book, The Rise and Fall of Chaebols: Financial Crisis and Transformation of Korean Business Groups (Cambridge University Press, April 2003) explores the strategies Korean business groups have pursued, examines various aspects of their structures, and assesses their performance. His edited volume, Business Groups in East Asia: Crisis, Restructuring and New Growth (Oxford University Press, 2006), examine the post-crisis restructuring activities of large business groups in eight East Asian countries. A native Korean, Professor Chang, is married to Kyungmee, a composer of modern classical music, and they have two daughters, Melody and Harmony.
Seoul National University celebrated last September the 30-year service of Dong-Sung Cho as Professor of Strategy, International Business and Management Design. He received a doctoral degree from Harvard Business School in 1976, and worked at Gulf Oil’s Planning Group before joining SNU in 1978. Weiying Zhang is Dean of the Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, and Director of Peking University's e-Business Center. He received a bachelor degree in 1982 from Northwestern University at Xi'an and D. Phil. in economics in 1994 from Oxford University. Between 1984 and 1990, he was a research fellow of the Economic System Reform Institute of China, and heavily involved in economic reform policy making in China. He was the first Chinese economist who proposed the "dual-track price system reform" (in 1984). After he graduated from Oxford, he co-founded China Center for Economic Research (CCER), Peking University in 1994, and worked with the Center until August, 1997. From 1999 to August 2006, He was the executive associate dean of Guanghua School of Management. He was also the chief architect of the 2003 Peking University faculty system reform. His visionary reform has generated significant impacts on changes of business education in China. As a professor of economist, he has published dozens of academic articles and 10 books. His works have generated significant impacts on the ongoing enterprise reform policy formulation and the development of economics in China. He has been frequently invited to deliver keynote speeches at high-level international and domestic symposiums and forums. His insightful opinions of the Chinese economy have been frequently reported in media. He was awarded "The Man of the Year in Chinese Economy" by CCTV in 2002. He has been the chief economist for China Entrepreneurs Forum since 2001.
As a Partner, Gen Isayama brings years of start-up and finance experience to his role in identifying new investment opportunities for the firm both in the U.S. and Asia. Gen focuses on investments in the consumer internet/digital media, mobile applications, wireless technologies and non-tech areas. Gen also helps lead DCM’s Asia practice, primarily in Japan, by identifying investment capabilities and assisting DCM’s portfolio companies’ with business development.
Prior to joining DCM, Gen worked at Mizuho Financial Group, formerly the Industrial Bank of Japan and has extensive experience in a wide variety of areas including corporate finance, structured finance, derivative trading and market risk management.
Entrepreneurial by nature, Gen co-founded a web design company while he was a student at Tokyo University. In addition, he served as an advisor for Silicon Valley based start-up helping establish a business base in Japan. She is sought for her foresight and action in reading ahead of the times and constantly proposing innovative themes to society, such as founding the first network of professional women in Japan in 1989 and launching the first bilingual portal site targeting women in Japan in 1996. She also meets with many visiting dignitaries. She has also written or spoken on many topics including diversity management, marketing, leveraging women, and time management, conducting more than 60 lectures a year. Ms. Sasaki has also worked as a reporter for TV Asahi’s “News Station,” anchor for TBS TV’s “60 Minutes” in Japan, and commentator for Fuji TV’s “Tokudane!”

Ms. Sasaki serves as: expert member of Cabinet Office’s “IT Strategic Headquarters”; member of the Cabinet Office’s Social Policy Council and Price Stabilization Policy Council; member of the Financial Services Agency’s Financial System Council; member of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ Information and Communications Council; member of the Educational Courses Section of the Subdivision on Primary and Secondary Education of the Central Council for Education; member of the Japan Fair Trade Commission’s Antitrust Law Forum; outside board member for Nissen Holdings; and outside auditor of Tokyo Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance.
Mr. Maeda was born in 1957.
He received a BA in Law with honors in 1980 for the University of Tokyo.
He experienced many key positions including Director for Policy Planning, International Bureau of the Ministry of Finance of Japan, the head of the delegation of JBIC to OECD, Deputy Director General of International Finance Department Ⅱand Director General & Special Advisor for Energy and Natural Resources of JBIC. His latest responsibility at JBIC is the chief of staff and policy coordination and handling the financial issues on the realignment of the U.S. Marines Corps from Okinawa to Guam.
Mr. Maeda has also served as Adjunct Professor of the Graduate School of Political Science, the University of Tokyo, and is currently serving as Non resident scholar at SAIS, the Johns Hopkins University in Washington D.C., Vice Chairman of Research Center for Financial Cooperation in Northeast Asia, the Nankai University, Tianjin China, Member of the Board of US-Japan Link, NPO, and Special Advisor to the Cabinet.
He regularly contributes to the major qualified papers and magazines on energy security and Islamic finance. He is the author of several books including, “The detail briefing on Islamic Finance (Aki-Shobo, 2008) and “Sovereign Wealth Funds” (PHP, 2009).
